NVIDIA RTX A5000

il y a 2 années
  • Ownership Quelques mois
  • Pros: The card is overclockable, limited to 230 watts by the manufacturer. Thin, single-slot, not very hot, 24 GB of memory.
  • Cons: Doesn't work well with POW algorithms like RVN due to limited consumption. High price. Better consider the RTX 3080.
  • Commentary: Professional computing GPU. The graphics chip is like the RTX 3080, but the memory is the usual GDDR6, like the 3070 at 24 GB. Standard overclocking scheme for any algorithms: Power limit 95%, Core clock 0, Memory Clock +1700. On the Ethash algorithm 100+ mh\s, on RVN about 42 Mh\s, on ERGO about 240 Mh\s. For mining, it is better to choose an RTX 3080 card because of the price.

  • Pros: A professional computing GPU, similar to the RTX 2070, very thin.
  • Cons: Expensive, not overclockable, consumption cut down to 125 watts
  • Commentary: The GPUs price is very high. The performance is at the level of 2070, but due to the blocked overclocking, it is worse. Nothing particularly interesting, I do not recommend it for mining.

  • Pros: Good professional computing GPU, similar to RTX 2080
  • Cons: Expensive, not overclockable.
  • Commentary: Similar to RTX 2000 computing GPU. The price of the GPU is very high. The performance is at the level of 2080, but due to the blocked memory overclocking, it performs worse on Ethash algorithms, on RVN as well as 2080. I don’t recommend it for mining. Better look at the RTX 2060 Super or RTX 3060.

  • Pros: The card can be overclocked, very low consumption! Limited to 70 watts by the manufacturer. Thin, single-slot.
  • Cons: Cutting to 70 watts played a bad joke on POW algorithms like RVN. The price is high. Better consider RTX 3060.
  • Commentary: Professional computing GPU with 6 GB or 12 GB of memory. Sort of like an RTX 3060, which was cut down a bit, nothing interesting. Standard overclocking scheme for any algorithms: Power limit 100%, Core clock +150, Memory Clock from +1600 to +1700. On the Ethash algorithm 40+ mh\s, on RVN about 14+ Mh\s, on ERGO about 105 Mh\s

  • Pros: Low price
  • Cons: Old GPU for mining. An analog of the GTX 1080 card. Hence the same problems: due to the architecture of the graphics chip, the GPU loses performance with an increase in each epoch of the DAG file on Ethash algorithms (ETHW\ETC). Can consume up to 180 watts at 35 Mh\s ETHW\ETC. There is no fan for cooling. I don't recommend it for beginners at all.
  • Commentary: It is hard to find this GPU in good condition. On the Ethash algorithm (ETHW, ETC, UBQ, EXP) makes about 35 MH\s (depending on the size of the DAG file) with a Power limit 80% overclocking settings; Core Clock +150; Memory Clock +600. The -mt 1 or -straps 1 argument will help squeeze out some more hashrate. On the KawPow (RVN) algorithm, it makes about 18 MH\s with overclocking settings Power limit 100%; Core Clock +140; Memory Clock +500. On the Autolykos2 (ERGO) algorithm, it gives about 60 MH\s with a Power limit 100% overclocking settings; Core Clock +100; Memory Clock +400.

  • Ownership Quelques mois
  • Pros: Has 8GB of VRAM.
  • Cons: An old, expensive, professional card. Something between GTX 1060 and GTX 1070. Hence the same problems: due to graphics chip architecture, the card loses performance with every epoch of the DAG file on Ethash algorithms (ETHW\ETC). On top of that, the card is limited to 100 watts of power consumption. IT DOES NOT SUPPORT OVERCLOCKING! I don’t recommend it at all.
  • Commentary: The GPU is hard to find and in good condition. I don't recommend buying it. The old architecture doesn't handle mining very well anymore.

  • Pros: A small, single-slot, fanless card that does not require additional power.
  • Cons: Limited to 70 watts. Can't be overclocked. Very expensive and old. Heats up, and needs an external fan.
  • Commentary: Make sure you turn off the error correction function in the Nvidia panel. Server GPU with a chip from RTX 1080, but has 8GB GDDR5 memory. Does not support overclocking, mining performance is the same as with GTX 1060-1070. Supports -straps 1 or --mt 1 arguments.

  • Cons: Limited to 70 watts. Can't be overclocked. Very hot. Heats up, and needs an external fan.
  • Commentary: Server GPU with a chip from RTX 2070 Super, 16 Gb of GDDR6 memory. Due to reduced power consumption, it shows average performance like GTX 1660. Overclocking is not supported.

  • Pros: They don't exist.
  • Cons: An old professional card. Something between GTX 1060 and GTX 1070, but with 5GB of GDDR5X memory. Does not support overclocking.
  • Commentary: I don't recommend buying it. The old architecture doesn't handle mining very well anymore.

  • Pros: Low price.
  • Cons: An old mining card. Chip from GTX 1050, 6GB memory from GTX 1060. Hence the same problems: due to the architecture of the graphics chip, the card loses performance with each epoch of the DAG file on Ethash algorithms (ETC). No fan for cooling, and no video output.
  • Commentary: The GPU is hard to find in good condition. Argument -mt 1 or -straps 1 will help to squeeze a bit more hashrate. I don't recommend buying it.
