NVIDIA RTX A4000
před 2 lety- Ownership A few months
- Pros: GPU could be well overclocked, consumption is low (limited to 140 watts by the manufacturer). Thin.
- Cons: Doesn't work well with POW algorithms like RVN due to limited consumption. The price is high to take for mining. Better consider the RTX 3070.
- Commentary: Professional computing GPU. The graphics chip is like the RTX 3070 Ti, but the memory is the usual GDDR6, like the RTX 3060 or 3070 at 16 GB. Standard overclocking scheme for any algorithms: Power limit 95%, Core clock +100, Memory Clock +1500. On the Ethash algorithm 60+ mh\s, On RVN about 23 Mh\s, on ERGO about 150 Mh\s
NVIDIA V100

- Pros: Does a great job of running heavy processes (code, AI), still mining well.
- Cons: Price, consumption, the GPU is old, released back in 2017
- Commentary: The graphics card price is very high, even in the used market. The payback of this video card (if you take it specifically for mining) is calculated in years. Definitely do not recommend buying it because it is not intended for mining, especially the video card of 2017. It is better to take a closer look at purchasing the same 2080 Ti. It also does not lend itself to overclocking; all that can be configured is Power Limit.

- Pros: Powerful computing GPU
- Cons: High price, no active cooling, high power consumption, no video outputs.
- Commentary: Specific, narrowly focused graphic card for data centers, development, calculations, and simulation. Incredibly powerful and incredibly expensive. Even in mining, it shows excellent results thanks to the HBM2 memory, but it cannot be overclocked. All that can be configured is Power Limit. The card has high consumption. The card does not have video outputs or fans. Must be installed in special ventilated enclosures. I do not advise you to take it exclusively for mining.
AMD RX Vega 56

- Pros: GPU for enthusiasts. Despite its great age, it mines very well, the same as RTX 2000 series.
- Cons: It consumes a lot and heats up a lot. The card is already old and difficult to find on the secondary market in good condition. Virtually non-existent on the secondary market.
- Commentary: Great card for improving your skills, suitable for both enthusiasts and beginners. Hash rate is heavily dependent on your memory manufacturer and BIOS timings. Ethash (ETHW, ETC, UBQ, EXP) algorithm gives around 42+ MH\s with overclocking of 75% Power limit; 800-1200 Core Clock, 950-1000 Memory Clock; 70% fan speed. The KawPow (RVN) algorithm gives about 22 MH\s at a 90% Power limit; a Core Clock of 800-1200; a Memory Clock of 950-100, and a Fan speed of 75-80%. The Autolykos2 algorithm (ERGO) outputs about 120 MH\s with overclocking settings of a Power limit of 80%; a Core Clock of 800-1200; a Memory Clock of 950-1000, and a Fan speed of 70%.
