How to fix "FAILED TO APPLY MSR MOD HASHRATE WILL BE LOW" error
MSR MOD (Model-Specific Registers) is a useful feature that boosts RandomX performance by 10-30%. To enable MSR MOD, the miner utilizes a particular driver called WinRing0x64.sys.
The error FAILED TO APPLY MSR MOD HASHRATE WILL BE LOW occurs when the miner cannot locate the WinRing0x64.sys driver or lacks administrator rights to apply MSR MOD.

Step One — Check Your Antivirus
Many viruses silently mine cryptocurrency without the user's permission. That is why most antivirus programs block miners by default. Windows Defender has this aggressive security policy, too.
Before downloading and running the miner, temporarily pause your antivirus to prevent it from deleting the xmrig.exe file and the WinRing0x64.sys driver. If the antivirus does delete them, be sure to add these files to the antivirus exclusion list.
If you're mining with the Kryptex application, ensure your antivirus hasn't compromised any Kryptex files. Add Kryptex files to your antivirus exception list.
Step Two — Give the Miner Administrator Rights
If you're running the XMRig miner using a batch file instead of the Kryptex app, make sure to grant permanent administrator rights to the xmrig.exe file. The batch file itself should be run without administrator rights.

- Right Mouse Click
xmrig.exefile- Choose “Properties”
- Choose “Compatibility” tab
- Tick “Run this program as an administrator”
- Press “Apply” and “OK”

If the error persists, reboot your PC to ensure the WinRing0x64.sys and MSR MOD drivers are properly registered in Windows. After the reboot, the error should be gone.
